The Greatest Gift (A poem)

The greatest gift
in the end
was a family
and a friend
an ear to lend
a hand to hold
and you
my friend
your heart of gold

Grey Shore (A poem)

Against grey shore, against grey shore
And close by lies the tow;
On roofs the mist weights heavily,
And thought the stillness roars the sea
Unvaried’ round the town.

No forest whisper, in May’s sky
No wings beat ceaselessly;
The birds of passage merely fly
Thought autumn’s night with strident sky
The grass wafts by the sea

Yea still my whole heart clings to thee,
Thou grey town by the sea;
The child’s enchantment endlessly
Rests smiling here in thee, in thee,
Thou grey town by the sea

Poems

When I write my poems, they do have a  refection of my life and when I have the time to sit down for a few minutes to write a poem, it does take time to think of the words and how I want to put the poem together. So when I got home from school and I went through my closet and I came across a binder that has bunch of poems that I did for a Young Women 10 hour project, still today I still have the binder and sometimes I will pull out the binder and start to read the poems that I wrote a while back, so if anyone wants to take a look at the binder just let me know I will bring it to school with me. I have been writing poems ever since I was in middle school and it has been a hobby that I just always love.

Send my friend an angel (A poem)

Please send my friend an angel
Send her one of mine
A loving and caring one
The best that you can find

Please send my friend an angel
And trust her with it’s care
Someone or something for her to love
And to always be there

Please send my friend an angel
One to help her full her days
With hope, love, and laughter
And the wrath of sunshine rays

Please send my friend an angel
You know she gave me of mine
Please send her down an angel
A true friends hard to find

A bend in the Road (A poem)

When we feel we have noting left to give
and  we are sure that the song has ended
When our day seems over and the shadows
And the darkness of night has descended

Where can we go to find the strength
To valiantly keep on trying?
Where can we find the hand that will dry
The tears that the heart is crying?

There’s but one place to go and that is God,
and dropping all pretence and pride,
We can pour out our problems without restraint
and gain strength with him at our side.

And together we stand at life’s cross roads
and view what we think is the end,
But God has a much bigger vision,
And he tells us it’s only a bend.

For the road goes on and is smoother,
And the pause in the song is a rest,
And the part that’s unsung and unfinished
Is the sweetest and richest and best.

So rest and relax and grow stronger.
Let go and let God share your load.
Your work is not finished or ended.
You’ve just come to a bend in the road.

Summer Time

Well I think that summer is already here, with the temperatures being so warm up to the upper 80’s to the upper 90’s. I like the summer weather with the trees that has all the leaves are back on the branches, and every living creature is back for the warm weather. All the families of birds are happy in the trees. In the summer where I live the temperatures can get very hot to 103 here in the summer, but I am use to temperature’s here in Southern Utah. One other thing that I also like about summer is that the days are longer, and with the sun likes to rise early in the morning, and in the evening the sun likes to set late into the evening.  In the summer all the kids like to hang with family, friends and that is because there is no school during the summer months of June, July, but at the end of the summer months, in August when school starts up again. The summer likes to hang around until the end of September. In the summer most of the animals that are house pets like to stay indoors, like for an example my two dogs live in the kitchen sink in the summer time, because it is easier to cool them down in the kitchen sink works out a lot better than using the bathtub. This is why I like the summer time.

Spring Time

So now that it is spring time, and now I am half way threw my first year of college and I so love it, and my goal is to get done with DXATC and so that way I can go to Dixie State College. Back in March for spring break I went down to Henderson, NV to stay with my cousin Tina and I had a lot of fun, went shopping, and she did my hair one night she put highlights and also cut my hair and when I came home, I went down to Dollar Cuts to have one of the girls make my hair all even out in the back. So this is what I have been up to.
